The film reveals the creation of poet Dorival Caymmi's musical compositions through the testimonies of researchers, journalists and friends who lived with him and could enjoy his wisdom and talent. Caymmi transformed his own history and also that of singer Carmen Miranda, when she first recorded one of his songs, "O que é que a Baiana Tem?", which became an immediate national and international success. With unpublished archives and photos, the documentary approaches the trajectory of the composer's musical repertoire through the interpretation of other artists.
