What a joy it was to welcome the audience to the 25th anniversary of the Brazilian Film Festival in 2023! That exceptional edition showcased the great voices of Brazilian popular music. We are reminded of your presence and of the moments we had together.
It's great that we're back for the 26th edition of the Festival, at Cinema l'Arlequin from March 26th to April 2nd. We'll feature a special hommage to our great actor and director Antônio Pitanga, who had a significant role in Brazilian film wave known as "Cinema Novo" that emerged in the 60s.
Antonio Pitanga, an important figure in Brazilian cinema, has been in over 70 films, and his long career allowed him to collaborate with the emblematic directors of Cinema Novo such as Glauber Rocha, a central figure in the movement. We will offer the public the opportunity to watch a selection of films that are significant in his career.
We'll also present 30 interesting features and documentaries. We're waiting for you in Paris, from March 26th to April 2nd, and also in Bordeaux, where the Festival will be held for the first time from May 30th to June 2nd!
See you soon!
