THE BRAZILIAN FILM FESTIVAL IN BORDEAUX
The Brazilian Film Festival, created twenty-six years ago by the Jangada association in Paris, is presenting for the first year an edition outside the capital. What better than Bordeaux and the Utopia cinema to begin such decentralization?
A selection of seven recent films (fiction and documentaries) constitutes the first Bordeaux showcase of this vibrant cinematography from Portuguese-speaking Latin America. These various proofs of the creativity and perseverance of Brazilian filmmakers, despite the difficulties they went through before the return of democracy to their country, are all strong points of this program.
Screenings presented by Katia ADLER, director of the Brazilian Film Festival and Silvia BALEA, expert in cinemas from Latin countries.
