Aboard the English Warspite, Dom Pedro I (Cauã Reymond), the first Emperor of Brazil returns to Europe. During his journey, he reflects on his life in Brazil from the early years of his childhood - when he arrived with his parents from Portugal in 1808 - until his departure in the dead of night, when he flees the country while being stoned by the population in 1831.
