Anna Mariani – Photographic Notes retraces the paths taken by the artist to create two photo essays that are true milestones in Brazilian contemporary photography: Pinturas e platibandas (1987) and Paisagens, impressões: o semi-árido brasileiro (1992). The journey features Anna Mariani herself as guide, in Regina Casé‘s voice. Read by Tom Zé and João Miguel among others, the writings of Lina Bo Bardi, Caetano Veloso, Ariano Suassuna and Jean Baudrillard help understand the power of her photography.
