The documentary explores Cazuza's last two years, from his AIDS diagnosis until his death. Nilo Romero, his music producer and now the film's director, created a collection of rarely seen and controversial images, such as his performance at musician George Israel's wedding, and footage of the concert in Rio de Janeiro in which Cazuza spat on the national flag. The production also includes testimonies from those who were near to him during his terminal phase, including Gilberto Gil, Leo Jaime, Frejat, Flavio Colker, Arthur Dapieve and Ney Matogrosso, as well as Lucinha Araújo, the singer's mother.
