With contributions from renowned musicians such as Dominguinhos, Elba Ramalho and Gilberto Gil, "Danado de Bom" accompanies the composer João Silva on a journey through the northeastern backlands to his hometown of Arcoverde, in the hinterland of Pernambuco. João remembers his journey, from a wandering, illiterate boy to becoming a composer of hits like "Pagode Russo", "Nem se despediu de mim" and "Danado de Bom", and one of the main partners of Luiz Gonzaga. Mestre João composed more than 3 thousand songs, and passed away before seeing the completed documentary.
