IJÓ DUDU, MEMORIES OF BLACK DANCE IN BAHIA is a documentary film built on Living Memory. A POETIC DENOUNCEMENT, told through the experiences and knowledge of the pioneering female and male Masters and protagonists of Black Dance in Bahia.
A memory of bodies, minds, bold and courageous ideas of at least two generations of black women and men who used their bodies as the main tools to assert themselves in the political struggle, but above all to assert themselves as black women and men. The Memory of Black Dance in Bahia is also the memory of black resistance in Bahia, the memory of Bahia's history and the memory of Bahia's democratic resilience.
