Brazil, 1990, "Age of Privatizations". Pedro works in a large state company. Pressured by a rigorous restructuring process, he gets an early retirement against his wishes. Afterwards he decides to give a new meaning to life and moves to Barbosa, his small hometown, in the distant countryside. There he discovers that the beast that inhabited the forest, in the time of his childhood, is more alive than ever.
