Musician, capoeirista, art educator and founder of Afoxé Badauê, Mestre Môa do Katendê made history in Salvador in the 1980s, taking 8,000 people to the streets, promoting the re-africanization of the Bahian carnival and influencing a generation of MPB artists.
The documentary that started with him, shortly before his political assassination, tells and sings the story of this important and polyphonic educator of Afro-Brazilian culture, who in life did not have the recognition he deserved, interspersed with the rise of black demonstrations in the carnival of Bahia, through the interview he gave for the film, and characters that celebrate the reconnection with our cultural identity.
