Inspired by the novel by Milton Hatoum, Órfãos do Eldorado is a dive into the soul of Arminto Cordovil, a tormented man who returns home after many years away. Surprised by the unexpected death of his father, Arminto finds himself forced to take over the family business, which in the past made a fortune transporting goods along the Amazon River. Little by little, however, he is consumed by the ghosts of the past and by his great passions: Florita, the woman who raised him, and Dinaura, a mysterious singer whose appearance in the city destroys his life like a lightning bolt.
