On the eve of a volleyball championship which is decisive for her future as an athlete, 17-year-old Sofia finds she has an unwanted pregnancy. As she tries to terminate it clandestinely, she becomes the target of a fundamentalist group intent on deterring her at all costs, but neither Sofia, nor those who love her, are prepared to surrender to the herd's blind fervor.
