In the backlands of Goiás, two men are in love with the same woman. Unable to deal with their weaknesses, they are abandoned by her and turn violently against each other. As they face each other in a precarious and lawless lands, other male characters emerge, all of them having in common some kind of romantic frustration in their past. Amidst shootouts and ambushes, a growing feeling of abandonment slowly takes hold of them all.
