The mysteries that surround the death of Tancredo Neves are revealed more than 30 years after his death. "The Patient" takes us back to the last days of the life of the then recently elected president, and relives the anguish, the fear, and the anxiety of the politician about his fate as president, and the future of the country. Based on the book of the same name by historian Luis Mir, the film reveals the medical background of the story that shook Brazilian politics and changed the fate of Brazil.
