For the Huni Kuï (True People) of the Humaitá River indigenous land, in the Amazon region of Acre, living in the forest means being part of it. They live almost isolated. A boat trip from the city can take from two days to a week. “Huni Kuï – The True People” takes us on a journey through the villages of the Humaitá River Indigenous Land and, from the perspective of its inhabitants, shows how they live with human and non-human beings (animals, plants and spirits) and sustainably obtain their medicine and rituals from the environment
